Re: Listening to AM radio

No easy answer. The RTL is a poor receiver, is wideband, overloads so gain setting is crucial. And may need filters to keep out of band signals away. Spikes are common, often just spurii, not actually real signals. See the shop, ebay, Google Alan Thanks for the reply. So, what can I do with the RTL...

Re: Listening to AM radio

I have another question: I'm having a look at the 10m Ham Band, the 2m Ham Band, and the 70cm Ham Band. SDR# is clearly displaying spikes, but I'm not receiving any audio. Can anyone help with the settings I need to listen to Ham radio?

Re: Listening to AM radio

I've attached a photo. Looks like this device probably can't do AM frequencies.

Listening to AM radio

Hi guys, I'm sure this is a very noob question. I tried searching, but all my terms were too common. I've got my sky-blue 820T2 & SDR module installed and working (shows up as RTL2838UHIDIR in Windows device manager), and I'm happily listening to my local FM radio stations in SDRSharp. I would like ...

Re: HDTV on Windows

I have solved it :) The trick was to use the Roll Back Driver button to keep the working 64.1.801.2012 version rather than revert to the broken 64.1.304.2009 version. IMPORTANT UPDATE: Since writing this guide, I have discovered that the 64.1.801.2012 drivers are broken too. The ones that appear to ...

Re: HDTV on Windows

Ah, looks like you're having trouble with Windows automatic driver updates. For some reason some flavors of Windows like to really force their drivers, and delete any other driver. See if disabling it helps https://support.microsoft.com/en-nz/kb/2500967. Thanks for the suggestion, however Windows 1...

Re: HDTV on Windows

Okay, I've made some progress. The trick was to disconnect from the internet before uninstalling the broken driver. If you're on a laptop go into Airline mode, if you're on a desktop, disconnect the ethernet cable. Now, uninstall the broken driver and delete its software. Wait a moment, then scan fo...

Re: HDTV on Windows

Installing the drivers in compatibility mode is what the Microsoft community guy suggested, but unfortunately it did not work. Still stuck with the 64.1.304.2009 driver. I had a go with the Treiber 2 files as well, but same result. Windows refuses to install. I'm wondering if it might be possible to...

Re: HDTV on Windows

Okay, after the best part of a weekend of fiddling, here is what I have discovered: 1) The drivers and software that came with my dongle on the BlazeHDTV mini CD work fine on Windows XP. I could update the driver normally from the device manager, and I could scan and tune into channels as I pleased ...

Re: HDTV on Windows

Gah, none of the drivers I've downloaded (and I've done quite a bit of searching) seem to be compatible with my hardware on Windows 10. To make matters worse, I seem to have deleted the original Realtek driver, and can't get it back. So all I have is WinUSB now.
