Re: Local EMS/Police P25 Decoding
I usually go to RadioReference.com and lookup the town or county, They will have the control frequency and 4 to 5 others listed. I will put the middle frequency in and look for others close by. I guessing you are using V Cable and DSD+ software also make sure your audio filters are turned off on the...

In the past I have been able to see 2mhz wide bandwidth with zoom off, now I only get 1.5mhz wide? Where did the
other 500khz go, I tried different RTL-SDRs with same results.

rtl-sdr.com V2 direct sampling mode
I must have older V2 model it does not support software only HF reception. I tried hardware conversion to pins 1 & 2 of rtl chip and get a little signal if SDR# is set to direct sample (I branch). Conversion says to set it to (Q branch) but I get no signal at all this way. Have I made the wrong conn...

sdr sharp ham band labels and srd blog.com bandwidth
My sdr # ham band labels labels are off, like 40m stops at 7.200 and Shortwave starts, LSB switches to AM mode, not a big problem if I remember to change back to LSB, but wondering if a newer version sdr # would be better mine is ver 1.0.0.1488 Also my sdr# with my rtl sdr.com blog dongle only shows...

Re: Which upconverter to buy???
Yep, I bought one off ebxx from a seller janilab in Hungary, very well made but 100mhz osc puts 160,80,60,40meter band in the FM radio band 102-107mhz, maybe in Europe this is ok but in USA it's trouble unless you add a expensive FM filter. The best upconverter is by SV1AFN on the xbay, his has the ...

Do I have a V3 or older version
My str-sdr blog's case doesn't say v3, in that area (bottom left)' it has a empty (square symbol) then the words bias tee enabled ? If this is a older version then, Is there a direct sampling hardware hack for this dongle and does the empty square mean it isn't bias tee ready?

Re: Silver rtl-srd.com dongle direct sample mode
I am using sdr# v1.0.0.1488 and config set to - Direct sampling (Q branch) This setting worked with a cheap rtl dongle which had been physically modified, however the (RTL-SDR.com blog dongle) ad said you only needed to connect a hf antenna and set sdr# config to Q mode, which I did but it's dead. T...

Silver rtl-srd.com dongle direct sample mode
Have set sdr program to (Q direct sampling) but still can't get any signal thru the dongle, have tried 160 through 20 meter dipoles. Is there something else required to receive HF on the silver dongle.
