This isnt productive. According to NooElec the SDR doesnt require an LNA. Without the HamItUp the dongle, according to NooElec, should be able to receive from 25MHz to 1750MHz. At the moment the only traffic I can receive is in the commercial FM block between say 88.5MHz and 105.7MHz. I have tried t...

Re: Not very successfull with SDR - Advice

The Ham-It-Up converter is designed to add the oscillator frequency of the converter. Depending on when the Ham-It-Up converter was made will determine the frequency that is adds. The old were +100 MHZ. The newest are 125 MHZ. This converter has internal filters that pass the frequencies of 0 to 70...

Re: Not very successfull with SDR - Advice

http://www.nooelec.com/store/ham-it-up.html ok when i look on the Schematic on there website when you switch to "Pass trouth" the Signal goes directly from RF Input to the RF Output so no LNA between. :D So you need an separated LNA!!! If you would receive anything above 30Mhz: a) remove the Upconv...

But you have to remove it when you want Receive anyhing above 30Mhz!!!!! That mean you have no LNA at the moment... Can you solder and or have a powersupply? If...

You mean a Low Noise Adapter? I am presuming that is the upconverter. The kit came with the dongle and the upconverte...
