Re: Directed RF at our Office Causes Headaches

Which software are you using? I would be interested in using it myself. HDSDR, it is available here and supports different hardware through ExtIO plugins or sound card input: http://www.hdsdr.de/ I'm using custom ExtIO plugin for my custom DDC SDR (Digital Down Conversion Software Defined Radio) ra...

It doesn't looks like a strong emission.

Re: Directed RF at our Office Causes Headaches

What is the frequency of this emission? If RF emission is so strong and can cause headache, then you can easily measure it's frequency with a frequency meter with piece of wire inserted into input connector. Does neon lamp glowing in the hand when this thing happens? You can also use compact fluores...

Re: Out of tune - what have I done? [Solved]

Such thing can happens if your dongle has usual oscillator without temperature compensation instead of TCXO. Possible solution for such case is to power on your dongle in FM station listening for 30 minutes for heating your dongle and then calibrate it. Just set PPM = 0 in ExtIO settings and use HDS...

Re: Out of tune - what have I done?

In HDSDR the frequency is off by a random small amount suggesting it doesn't have a TCXO. The nesdr definitely does. My 1) Open menu Options => Calibration Settings 2) Select LO Frequency Calibration tab 3) press Reset Calibration button, it should return calibration to default state (no calibration)

First, air band radio works with AM modulation, but you're ...

most of all something happens with your antenna. Another possible issue is different gain setting. Also possible burned out input.

Re: question about HDSDR

LO is the actual tuning frequency for IF (intermediate frequency). The second frequency control allows to tune on desired frequency within IF bandwidth around selected LO. LO frequency lets tuner know which frequency you're want to get within IF bandwidth. The tuner shift this frequency to the 0 Hz,...

if you use original RTLSDRv3 it should work the same as usual cheap MW receiver.
