ADS-B - dump1090 install - Which one???? NOT a PI!

I do projects in steps and with very precise "cuts/steps" to achieve and end goal..... Get things working... step by step.. and move on.. then optimize the step... Ultimately I have a goal for my setup... Step one has been achived... I've taken the bundle deal with the 1090 optimzied dongle and ante...

ppm for Airnav RadarBox Bundle dongles????

With these bundled and tuned 1090Mhz dongles.. what is the PPM of these??? Since I can't throw OP25 at it due to the filter for 1090Mhz to get a PPM factor etc... I'd like to use rtl_adsb for some initial testing and to see that its getting data bursts etc.. then when I have spare time to setup a Pi...

Re: Using SDR and computer to send data over internet

Which RTK setup the Trimble??? These use the ISM 902-928Mhz band. in the US. How is the "BASE UNIT" mounted. To achieve 12Miles on 900Mhz is most certainly possible, BUT NOT FROM THE unit mounted on the tripod in a field or something. To achieve that 12M operation. It will need to be mounted ABOVE T...

Re: Raspberry PI, SDR and ICECAST

What is it you are after in this: First, what do you want to receive? Second, is this a LOCAL IceCast server or a REMOTE ONE AT VPS server in a DC??? There are many ways to feed SDR to an IceCast stream depending on what you are after.. P25 Phase I & II are doable depending on your needs.. Right now...

Re: KerberosSDR as a simple RTL-SDR replacement tuner? Seriously.

Hi there, Now that I finally got my preliminary antennas to be used with the KerberosSDR, I'd like to ask if there's a tutorial anywhere on how to use the KerberosSDR as a simple USB-SDR tuner unit plugged into a desktop PC's USB port, running any typical SDR scanner/tuner software. While it's said...

Re: KerberosSDR as a simple RTL-SDR replacement tuner? Seriously.

about DVSI -- you buy an AMBE-3000 chip and you have your license. really, it's not a big deal. no need to lodge irrational complaints. Complaints are not baseless. I've had the great misfortune to have to deal with them, so know a think or two.. We are not going to agree, and this will devolve int...

the devices are "compatible" with rtl_eeprom, technically.
I have no intention of using rtl_eeprom until

BOTH HydraSDR and rtl_eeprom are shown to be safe.

That looks unlikely to happen. Sadly.

Coupled with some other results after a couple of days use, and persnickety with USB bus types.

Re: Results SDR Use Only - SN #'s?

be careful! see https://github.com/rtlsdrblog/rtl-sdr-kerberos/issues/2 Thanks, then I will wait for a while to see if a resolution comes along. I take it that the HydraSDR needs firmware updates..to be compatible with rtl_eeprom? For now my test case seems to run with 2 tuners, since it needs 2 to...

Results SDR Use Only - SN #'s?

I am only planning/interested in the quad SDR part of the unit. My results so far: I chose to use the following for a PSU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FVMXNN6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Has USBC adapter and seems to be running things well. I've started up my main use s...
