Re: rtl-sdr lna problem
The LNA is very wide, more than likely it's being overloaded by nearby FM broadcast. While an LNA is a "low noise" amplifier it does amplify noise as well, if there is enough of it that will hinder reception. If you can either get a band pass filter that only allows 137 for APT or at the very least ...

Re: Direction finding issue
There is really not enough information in your video to be able to provide much help in the matter.
Can you make another video showing the entire setup?
Antennas, distance, settings and signal source would be very helpful.

Re: Results SDR Use Only - SN #'s?
Yeah be careful for sure, if you're going to proceed anyway I'd suggest doing them one at a time and not having all four turned on at once.kb3cs wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 1:31 pmbe careful! see https://github.com/rtlsdrblog/rtl-sdr-kerberos/issues/2

Initial bench test: I'm able to reproduce the Linear test same as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE1BFeteBo0 I'm using a 915MHz Dipole on a metal ground plane with antennas spaced a 9.8cm. Using an HP8920A for Tx 904.28MHz @ 5KHz dev with a 1KHz tone. Once the BW, FIR and Decimation are right the ...

Re: Share your results
During my test I used my HackRF to create a SSTV signal. If you are in an area with a digital trunked radio system you could also try it out with the control channel frequency. I was able to successfully locate a tower site with that method. You'll want to make sure when you set your frequency and s...

Re: Question about BIAS-TEE in V3
Just buy a stand alone bias-t and inject voltage after the splitter. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bias-Tee-Wideband-10-6000-MHz-6GHz-for-HAM-radio-RTL-SDR-LNA-Low-Noise-Amplifier/322365135389?epid=17021762201&hash=item4b0e759a1d:g:hLoAAOSwFy5bWIxN Bought one of those for china and works fine for my needs.

Re: Trouble connecting the RPi3 to the KSDR
Got Ubuntu installed, and had successfully gotten connected (well it locks up the entire OS after about 5 minutes though that's not the ksdrs fault obviously) so it is a problem with the Pi. Likely power related as mentioned before. I'll hook a screen up to the pi and see whats going on. Hopefully ...
