Re: Two antenna on the same device

you can mix two antennas with splitter, but it will leads to some signal loss, about 6 dB for 1-2 splitter. By the way, both of your antenna looks not good, they have too wide bandwidth. It means that they are low efficient. Your first antenna looks like random piece of wire and second antenna (25MH...

Re: how good is Luowave's "USRP LW 1"?

If you want more bits for a higher price, there's also the Red Pitaya 288-16. Red Pitaya 122.88-16 is really good device for SDR, but expensive. https://www.redpitaya.com/p52/sdrlab-122-16-standard-kit If you choose between USRP and Red Pitaya 122.88-16, Red Pitaya 122.88-16 is the outright winner

Re: how good is Luowave's "USRP LW 1"?

12-bit ADC running at 64 MHz for 550 USD is too expensive.

For such a price I would expect 16-bit ADC running at 122.88 MHz + 14-bit DAC running at 400 MHz, with a good low noise LNA. programmable attenuator, 4-8 receivers and two transmitters (it requires FPGA with about 50-100 kLE).

Re: Noob question on signal strength

high signal strength doesnt means that antenna is better. The better antenna provides better SNR (signal to noise ratio). So you can get very bad antenna with a high signal strength and vice versa - very good antenna with low signal strength. Darker background (less background noise) can be indicati...

Re: _u8 still most current?

the latest _u8 version (the link I posted above) has extended features. it has: - integrated DC removal filter (optional, can be disabled with a check box) - automatic direct sampling/tuner mode switch (Auto Q and Auto I modes) depending on the current frequency - integrated Bias-T checkbox which al...

Re: Minimum amount of antennas

Which antenna? Which result?

Technically your question Is the same as to ask "Is 4 flashlight is the minimum in order to get sufficient result or we can use only two of them?"

Make please new version extio for hermes/odyssey2 , with extended gain control . And other functions - input attenuator and ... etc . Thanks . Unfortunately I don't have odyssey2 hardware, so I cannot test it. This version with an adaptation to the Sharp 1732 version gives an error What error exact...

[*]The recommended "starter" devices, which are definitely in my price range (the RTL-SDR Blog brand R820T2 RTL2832U, both kit and standalone SKUs) are out of stock for the next month or more.
That's not true. RTLSDRv3 in stock: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32939551915.html
