Re: Meteor Image

Nothing. I have the antenna about 12 feet above the ground with closest building (my house) about 400 yards away. Antenna is basically in a field with no trees around for at least 600 yards.

Meteor Image

I've built a homemade QFH and tested this morning with first Meteor image. Previous V-dipole only obtained image from directly over my house and south. Now with the QFH, I am getting an image slightly north of my location (see below) but still just mostly south of my location (PA). Can anyone explai...

Re: Meteor Image Issues

So, it appears A/B get soldered to a BNC connector. C/D (not sure about the term Coax Passes) is one long cable that starts at top, travels down to bottom then returns back to top for solder???? Appreciate the help!!

QFH Antenna

Need to build a QFH coax antenna and cannot determine if the cable running from the 'top' of the horizontal PVC cross is a single piece that runs from top, to the bottom PVC and them back up to the top for one loop, then another cable repeats from top to bottom for the other loop. I know they connec...

Re: Meteor Image Issues

Ok, looking at building a QFH antenna with coax cable. Only question I have is: On one of the top horizontal PVC, do you run a single coax cable from the top, down toward the bottom PVC then back up the other side to the top. Repeat on the perpendicular top PVC and then solder the appropriate ends t...

Meteor Image Issues

I am running my V3 SDR with a V-Dipole antenna and get crystal clear NOAA images, however when I try to image a Meteor image, I get some issues. Basically, as the Meteor is on its southbound pass (directly flying overhead), everything due north is not being captured. However; once the satellite pass...

Re: Max Volume

Screen.jpg Screen capture of pass this morning. Granted it was only a 35 degree pass but wouldn't matter if it was an overhead, same results. Also, I basically had the same setup last month. Perfect images from NOAA birds and was getting great Meteor images except when she flew directly overhead, t...

Re: Max Volume

Only mute that has any effect is in my sound bar/speaker in lower right corner of desktop. That zeros out all sounds. I can take all sliders in SDR and take them to zero yet I still have signal (see attachment). Although in this attachment the 'gear' slider is not at zero but makes no difference, mo...

Re: Max Volume

Only thing I am running regarding audio is VAC. No 'plugins' except the actual VAC program itself. Not sure what is meant by vfo plugins.

In the Record section of WX I do have the CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual) selected. Sample Rate at 11025.
