Re: Direct sampling option greyed-out

Are you using an RTL-SDR.com V3 dongle? It sounds like you are not, and I think thats what that option is for, no? Can you provide a link to the SDR you bought on amazon?

Re: RTL SDR v3 + Spyserver + Raspberry PI 4 Installation

Have you blacklisted the DVB-T drivers? From https://www.rtl-sdr.com/tag/install-guide/: After installing the libraries you will likely need to unload the DVB-T drivers, which Linux uses by default. To unload them temporarily type "sudo rmmod dvb_usb_rtl28xxu" into terminal. This solution is only te...

Re: Simultaneous Monitor/Record

What software (OS) are you using? you should be able to do it with almost any "scanning" software..... although to be honest I have a dedicated scanner and thus have never tried it. [edit] oh, ok now I reread and see that you want 3 simultaneous recordings. I don't know of any software that will do ...

Re: WXtoimg Decoding

This isn't going to be helpful to you, but I have also seen funky behavior by WXtoIMG when receiving perfectly good (and strong) signals. Not sure what operating system you are using, but I can't get decent images at all running the gui on Ubuntu 18.04, yet get perfect images when running headless o...

Re: Can you purchase APRS trackers ?

The listed radiosondes are not APRS trackers.

Do you want an APRS tracker, or a radiosonde? For APRS trackers, you can find the "tinytrak" or "stratotrak":

Re: What satellites i can work with on 137MHz.

The Fox Satellites (in particular, AO-91 and AO-92) are pretty easy to hear with a decent omni antenna. The latest version of FoxTelem will accomodate an RTL-SDR.com V3 dongle, but I have seen very little success with it (originally it only supported the FunCube Dongle or piped in audio). Check them...

Re: Keeping RTL-SDR Bias Tee On

I noticed this, too, with my posts getting the Bias-T to work with a SatNogs stations. My findings are that the Bias-T reverts to 0 (off) every time the dongle is initialized by whatever software is calling it. For GQRX, you can add ",bias=1" to the device arguments (I believe the full argument will...

Re: Meteor Image

Try rotating the QFH by 180°.

That should tell you if there is a problem with the antenna itself. If your image then goes to being mostly north instead of mostly south, then you'll know that there is a problem with the antenna.
