Re: Outdoor tower (tree) antenna mounting questions for Kraken and Kerberos SDR

Unless climbing trees is one of your favorite hobbies, I'd advise against putting anything up that high. Sometimes the KSDR needs to be unplugged/plugged back in again, SD cards on the Pis will go bad, animals will find their way into whatever weather resistant enclosure you put up there. Unless you...

Re: Broken Lead

I've ordered these before: https://www.data-alliance.net/u-fl-to-s ... n-10-inch/

If you're outside the US, you can probably find something similar in your country.

Bill,
It will always be centered on 0 Hz since it's a relative frequency.

Re: Spotty Accuracy When Tracking Transmitter

The easiest way to explain the confidence is to take a look at the DOA graph. If you pay attention to the scale on the side, it ranges from 0 to some auto-scaling negative number. The tallest (and hopefully only) peak is the DOA value. Confidence is derived from the difference between the peak and t...

Re: New Ham with a few questions (KerberosSDR, Raspberry PI, upconverter)

The Pi 4 has more processing power than the Pi 3. I've used the KSDR with both, but had an easier time and less crashes with the Pi 4 (2GB) Unless you have a way to feed 4 up converters from a single local oscillator, you'll lose all coherency in your signal. Once you lose that, using it for DF is u...

Re: Theoretical questions

Are you using a KerberosSDR? Judging by your questions, probably not and you're using the wrong software. If you are, please read through the quick start guide and take your questions to the KerberosSDR section on the forum.

Re: KerberosSDR 1.6.1 update rate issue

That problem is related to power problems. I recommend trying shorter USB cables. I use 12 inch (30 cm) USB cables and never have problems. People tend to say "I'm using a 3A power supply!", but that doesn't matter if your cable is too long and not the greatest quality.

Re: Tablet for SDR

The Surface RT is closer to an Android tablet than a computer. I have the Surface Pro, which is more like a laptop.

Re: Tablet for SDR

I've used a Surface Pro 2 (circa 2015) for rtl-sdr applications, and it's really worked well. I don't foresee any problems with the newer surface tablets, especially if you stick to an i5 or better processor.
