Re: Suggestions for antennas to use with four channel coherent RTL-SDR
I have a new four channel coherent RTL-SDR (Kerberos) that came without antennas. I welcome any suggestions for the type of antennas that I should use with this radio. I will need four identical antennas that will attach to the female SMA connectors on the radio. Thank you, Justin Smith Here is wha...

Re: Static shock while connecting ground-wire to radio?
Thanks Hotpaw2 :) I already have a ground-wire permanently connected to the shield of the antenna (And since it's a loop-antenna thus also automatically to the lead wire) But I have ordered a galvanic isolator and also a surge-protector, which are to sit on the cable near the radio, so I'm currentl...

Re: Disappointment with my new 2M antenna
I had to go lookup UR67 and found the specifications. It is similar to RG-213 which is not a great cable for long distances. RG-213 has a loss of about 2.8 db per 100 feet. Depending on how long your run is this could be your issue. At VHF I strongly recommend looking at something in the LMR-400 ran...

Great Antennas for a variety of applications.
If you are looking for an antenna that is easy to setup and use for a variety of applications then I would highly recommend Arrow Antennas. As an Amateur Radio Operator I have had the pleasure of using a variety of their antennas in both my hobbies and professional life. The team goes above and beyo...

Arrow Antennas, they are making an antenna specifically for the KSDR now. http://arrowantennas.com/arrowii/sdr.html

Re: Power connection question
Sorry to resurrect an older thread. Is it possible to supply power anywhere else than the micro-USB port on the v2? I am finding this connector to be finicky and trying to get my system setup for mobile use. Twice now discovered my issue was with the cable backing out. Short of hot-gluing it in plac...

Re: What tablet would you recommend?
I am using the Samsung Tab S4 with AT&T FirstNet service. It works very well and provides the Wi-Fi hotspot so that mapping functions can be real-time. I will say however, that I am likely going to get a Laptop setup and run an Ethernet cable to the configuration just to improve issues where the tab...

Re: External antenna switches for the first units
Where do we get the RF Switches for the version 2? I keep hearing from others that have these units that they have it, but locating them is difficult. I heard that someone has written a custom code add-on that switches the port to the terminator for calibration and back to the antennas when done.

Re: Current Version
Sorry for delay responding. The notifications for this forum do not seem to be working correctly. I misunderstood thought the bug with the button was fixed. Yes I was using VNC. It was not displaying at 1080P. I bombed that microSD and reinstalled with 1.6.1 as a fresh download and tried again where...

Re: New user help (Sync, Heat, KerberosAndroid hotspot)
Thank you, due to an issue I have had with the Pi4 not starting if the KSDR is receiving power through its input power connector I figured it wasn't needed. I will have to try and power up the board separately and see if that helps. Perhaps pull 5V off my powerhat so they are synced power supplies.
