Re: Design a reciever with R820t.

Check the airspy firmware, they actually have a driver:

https://github.com/airspy/airspyone_fir ... ter/common

You may have to do some rewrite to get it useable.

The Atmega8 is too slow to deal with the IF signal from the tuner, but the setup/configration should be doable.

Re: Help Configuring the R820T2 with Arduino???

Got it working?

Otherwise, download the airspy firmware source, it actually contains a driver for the R820T2 tuner.

Re: R820T Tuner IC I2C commands

Well.. 1. There are leaked datasheets/reverse engineering notes/linux drivers around the web with some details. 2. Frequency change is by setting up a sigma-delta PLL frequency synthisizer, you can find plenty examples of similar parts around the web. 3. AirSpy actually have a fairly simple(compared...

Re: Use demodulated signals with electronics, off-pc

For a AVR; you would likely want to run a downconverter from the R820T output, in order to get a even lower frequency. I have seen projects using a analog switch as a quadrature demodulator, and if you add some low-pass filters you may get it slow enough to be viable. You have quite limited ADC spee...

Re: Can any RF chip be modded to turn into an sdr or only R820T?

Any chip you can get the access to the digital "RF/IF" data from is a useable SDR. There are plenty possible chips you can use, RTL-SDR just offers a USB interface making use with computers easy. LimeSDR have a transciver, analog devices & texas intruments have plenty. Or you can build your own usin...
