Cable modem EMI

I came across these cable modem shields on Amazon. There are different sizes. They are also made for smart meters. People buying them are sensitive to RF and claim the WiFi upgrade to 5ghz is far worse. Looking for feedback.

Re: Is it my old age?

An FM Broadcast filter “might” help. Typically they are strong signals between 88mhz to 108mhz. It’s a notch filter.

Alan, thanks again. I should have also asked what sdrs do you have? I think I found the problem I’m having.

Multiple sdr’s on Window PC

1. Can I have multiple SDRs on a Windows PC?
2. Can they run simultaneously or only one at a time?
3. Can I have two RTL-SDRs, or say an Airspy and a RTL-SDR?

When antenna isn’t in use best practice

When your antenna isn’t in use, do you ground it? Do you disconnect the sdr from your USB port to the computer? It’s been awhile since I operated a ham transmitting station, but I had an antenna switch that I would throw to ground the coax to earth via a short copper wire, not my house power ground....
