Re: Confused about RTL_FM installation

1. Compile libusb.
2. Compile librtlsdr. Before the compilation, point the include and lib director to that of libusb.
3. You find rtl_fm in the release folder.

Re: ADSB performance on PC vs. Raspberry Pi

Check the source code to see if there is anything different for PC or pi compilation.
If it is the same, it may be the power issue of the USB port on pi.
It can also be the problem of low CPU power on pi. You got discontinued samples.

It is safe to kill the led. Can you post a link to your metal case?

Re: SDR vs Linux HOST PC .What Is The Best USB Port Driver?

Maybe you need libusb 1.0 for cross platform applications or WinUSB for windows. Unless you can find some public codes, you will need to write your own driver on top of the libraries.

Move the left half of your fft result to the right side. That will do the trick.

Re: AIS and Weather Info W/Map info

For your reference, they are (as far as I know)

Open source:
rtl-ais
AISDecoder
rtl-ais for android

The above three have some connections.

Free but not open source:
PNAIS
AISMon
Aisdeco?

Non-free but you can still use freely:
Shipplotter
AISRec
AISRec for android

Re: RTL-SDR+Arduino+OpenWRT?

MCU with multiple cores and enough CPU power would be the future platform of SDR including RTLSDR. That's not far away if you look at LPC4370. For RTLSDR, it is very easy to get samples into the PC by USB connections. Once the data is in the PC, why we need MCU? The cost of the raspberry pi is half ...

Re: Integrate RTL-SDR into Android phone

Nice idea. I need double OTG ports on android phones but none of the phones I have seen has that.
It allows one for the dongle inside or outside the phone and another one for the external battery or the power charger.
