Re: rtl2832-cfile.grc for modern gnuradio

There are many third party blocks that still haven't made the jump to 3.7. If you can, just stick with 3.6 for the time being.

Re: GNU Radio with Pulseaudio

I decided to try this on a fresh Debian install using Jessie. I never could get it working with pulse but alsa seems to work just fine. Edit: works just fine with alsa and pulse. Most likely user error on my part. These are my install notes. http://pastebin.com/hN0f8Pnv Here is a very basic setup fo...

GNU Radio with Pulseaudio

Can anyone explain the process of getting the audio sinks in GNU Radio, or GNU Radio Companion, to work with pulse? Putting pulse as device name doesn't work. HF+VHF+UHF

I'm looking to buy a transceiver SDR in the future. It must work 100% with Linux. The FunCube looks great but it's only a receiver. Is there any technical reason why SDR's are either all HF or no HF at all? I realize you can use an upconverter, but it seems like such a messy solution.

Re: Does someone know database with protocol-frequency data

I spend most of my time listening to the aeronautical mobile and land mobile frequencies. You will need to switch to AM for most of the aeronautical stuff. You will also want to find a list of 10 codes so you know what the police are talking about. I could listen to the police all day. Some very hum...
