Re: KerberosSDR Developments in 2020

Can the Kerberos 4 channel board accept a clock input signal? I'm exploring the possibility of using this board in a VLBI setup since my group has access to multiple hydrogen masers. Is the only way to sync the Kerberos receiver clocks with an outside source to have a separate clock breakout board ...

Re: KerberosSDR Developments in 2020

@Harbinger Unfortunately I can't send you a private message, I'm either too stupid or it's just not possible. Sorry for spamming the forum... Is there a chance a future iteration of the Kerberos could come with a five SDR board? Something that could provide an integrated listening on the same frequ...

Re: Understanding Incident Angle

The whole incident angle convention is a bit messed up as multiple developers have used different conventions on different displays so it can be a little confusing. On the DOA graph antenna 1 will always be 0 degrees on the compass display. Let's assume that you point antenna 1 NORTH. Then 90deg is ...

Re: Direction finding with directional antennas. Is it possible?

It should work fine with directional antennas. Just use a linear array setup.

The guides assume use on a vehicle, where omni antennas are needed.

Re: My idea for a KerberosSDR #2 iteration

Thanks, we are thinking about higher end models for the future, but it is difficult once you start to go past RTL-SDRs as the basis. The challenges is that 4x HackRF's would be 4X the HackRF BOM cost. Even if that's $50 only per unit, that's $200 just for the BOM. Then add in the hw engineering cost...

Yeah these "Pro" ones are usually units made to look like ours, but are definitely not. These don't have a bias tee i'm afraid, despite them advertising that it does on the enclosure since they just copied our text.

Did you set the RDF mapper server address? Can you post exactly what you set it to?

An induction cooker is a good theory. Can you test it?

Re: Is it my old age?

We don't have specific LNAs for 137.5 MHz. Generally you will find that an LNA for 137 MHz is not needed, and may make things worse.

Why do you think you need an LNA?
