Re: Police radio changing frequency often
Sounds like standard P25 trunking. Look up how to decode trunking channels with Unitrunker or SDRTrunk. Generally you'll need two dongles, one to receive the trunking control channel, and the other to receive the voice channel, but it can be done with one.

Re: Cost of Kerberossdr
Ah sorry it's gone up to $299 recently. Reason is almost no remaining stock.
Please keep an eye out early next year as a new production is coming hopefully in Q1.

Re: I branch use in direct sampling?
There are two test pads next to C33 and L5 (to the left of the LDO) which connect to the I-branch. But you will indeed need to disconnect the tuner by removing the two resistors next to the pads R13 and R12.

Re: BT on
No it does not, but if you did want it to remain on you can use our custom driver branch and set a flag in the EEPROM. Information on the V3 users guide at www.rtl-sdr.com/V3

Re: Should the Kerberos power the Pi4 ?
I’m looking at this closer and here’s what I find. I have a Pi4 with a wall plug that says output 5.1v 3.5a. I also have a plug for additional power to the KerberosSDr 5v 2.1amp. With the external power applied to the KerberosSDr and the KerberosSDr plugged into the Pi4 I can observe that the Pi4 w...

Re: Assembly of Metal Case Upgrade for SDRplay RSP1A
Thermal pad goes on the bottom, no point putting it on the top, it wouldn't touch the case.

Re: I branch use in direct sampling?
The I-branch is connected to the R820T2 tuner, so it can't be used for HF direct sampling.

Re: Anyone had success with Cellphone frequencies?
In most places they use time division, which means that the uplink and downlink are on the same freq. They just each transmit at defined times very rapidly. SO you'd need some way to filter out the times when it's the downlinks turn which is not easy. But if the frequency division scheme is used in ...

Re: Running KSDR with SSH
I am using the pre built Pi image, and the software runs on start up, but still needs manual calibration. I've had success syncing with the antennas still connected to the receiver (provided no signals are broadcast while syncing), but I still need to Teamviewer into the Pi to set centre frequency,...

Re: Antennea switches for calibration
It's a bit of a hack, but you can access the GPIO voltage which controls the noise source as per this image.
