Re: Unable to access new usb rtl-sdr

It could be faulty, rtl_test should detect the device. Some troubleshooting tips: Have you been able to test it on another machine, or one running Windows? Also, make sure that you using a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port. Do other devices work in that USB port? Are you using a hub or extension cable? Try with...

Check out sigidwiki.com, you might find some samples there, but not many IQ files are there yet.

Re: Has AIRSPY limited their distro of SDR# to specific hard

When SDR# upgraded to .NET4.6 the install procedure for RTL-SDR dongles changed a little, please check the updated quickstart guide on our site at rtl-sdr.com/qsg. But the main difference in procedure is just that you need to run the install-rtlsdr.bat batch file in the SDR# folder. This will downlo...

Re: Galvanic isolators

Okay, make sure you check the specs. Not all support Hispeed USB (480 Mbps) which is needed by the RTL-SDR. Also not all support the current needed (about 260+ mA).

Re: New CPU

What SDR radio are you thinking of using? If it's just an RTL-SDR, then any low end 2 core CPU should work fine, but i'd recommend at least an Intel i3.

If you're thinking of buy a higher end SDR like an Airspy then you'll need a more powerful CPU.

Re: R820T2 dongle faulty connection

Hmm okay that's one of our dongles. Email us at rtlsdrblog_AT_gmail.com if you think there's a problem with the dongle, we can send out a replacement.

What frequencies are you listening to when it drops out?

Re: 2 Dongles problem

So it only happens when two dongles are plugged in. Is it with any two dongles? What type of dongles are you using?

Could be something to do with interference coming out from the other dongle.

Re: Galvanic isolators

A galvanic isolator will only work over a certain frequency range, Nobu's one is only for HF frequencies. The digital USB one will work over all frequencies, but is probably quite expensive. Let us know if you find a reasonably priced one.
