Re: Missing RTL-SDR (USB) selection in SDR-RADIO def. setup

Did you follow step 9 of the SDR-RADIO quickstart guide? The RTL-SDR selection won't show unless you have those .dll's in the right folder.

Re: The matching transformer and toride T37-43 & DIRECT SAMP

I can't find the link again, but I remember there was a Japanese RTL2832 experimenter who also found that higher impedance's gave better results. He was using his own wound coils. As far as I know no one has really confirmed what the true input impedance is, and since the datasheet is not available ...

Re: Ok what am i doing wrong

Hmm, try reinstalling the drivers through zadig and trying other USB ports on your PC, or another PC. Some USB 3.0 ports might cause trouble. Also try using it without USB extension cables. If it still doesn't work, you might have received a defective dongle and should ask for a replacement. I think...

Re: Setting up SDR#

Sparky94: As G7MRV has said, it sounds like you've selected RTL-SDR/TCP, when in fact you should be choosing RTL-SDR/USB in the drop down menu. agenore11: Unfortunately, SDR# has closed its code repositories to the public due to code theft. I believe the developer has said that he's stopping Linux s...

Re: Any Radar that can trace the location of the radio trans

I think what you want is Radio Direction Finding.

A video about a SDR solution with the USRP

Otherwise look up Fox Hunts, which hams do. See what type of hardware they use.

Re: What equipments must I use to send and receive signal

That would be possible. If you need to send an receive at the same time, a bladeRF would be better as it is full duplex. HackRF is only half duplex meaning it can only either send or receive at one time and not simultaneously.

Re: HackRF - Antenna for getting 2.4 Ghz frequency

It doesn't matter what the protocol is, if the signal is at 2.4 GHz you should use an antenna tuned for 2.4 GHz. Antennas have nothing to do with protocols, protocol decoding is all handled in the signal processing stage in software.

Re: HackRF - Antenna for getting 2.4 Ghz frequency

2.4 GHz is used by WiFi, so any 2.4 GHz WiFi antenna should work well. You can find these types of antennas anywhere, try Amazon or Ebay.

Re: Newbie needing help ?

For a beginner on Linux i'd recommend GQRX, which is a standard SDR GUI https://github.com/csete/gqrx (git install instructions are on that page too). I wouldn't bother with GNU Radio unless you are looking to do some serious signal processing work. As for Linux driver installation the instructions ...
