Re: Cannot hear WFM / NFM modes

Yep as tim_rtd said, the volume is set at zero. Turn it up and turn off noise reduction and you'll hear again.

Re: RPI 3 didn't boot with RTL_SDR V3

That's odd. The V3 uses a little extra power compared to the other dongles, but it shouldn't be so much as to cause it to not boot.

Can you see if the dongle runs normally on a PC? If not it would indicate that it's faulty.

Re: Trouble connecting the RPi3 to the KSDR

If this idea would be a reinventing the wheel, I apologize. And, when you try this, please remind that this method is not guaranteed safety. I don't have any USB-C cable which can be broke up. Therefore, I am supplying power from my power converter to two GPIO 5v pins and GND pins of Kerberos SDR. ...

Re: Getting result of DOA estimation without Tinkerboard's console

Yep you could base your command line version on the code on Github. There is currently no command line tool.

You could start by editing the Python file in the _GUI folder, and converting it to command line control. It would be quite cool if ncurses graphing was available on the command line tool too.

Re: Direction finding for intermittent signal

Thanks to both of you. I'll try the sample size first to see how that impacts things with my transmitter. For the code to do modify the compass calcs to not update when the signal is below a threshold, do you mind pointing me to where I could add that? I made it as far as estimate_DOA in hydra_sign...

Re: Direction finding for intermittent signal

Sorry at the moment we don't have any way to handle intermittent signals. That would be something that you'd need to implement yourself in the open source code. We'll look into the possibility of doing this ourselves, but I can't guarantee that it's soon.

Re: List of HF SDR Transceivers

The ones you've listed are mostly for 'experimentation'. There are a whole heap of amateur radio SDR transceivers.

e.g.

Softrock
Elad FDM-DUO
FlexRadio

Re: Quick Start Guide page missing?

Sorry I had to change it to https://www.rtl-sdr.com/ksdr, because the Indiegogo email system was messing up the 301 redirect in the update emails for some reason and I was getting a flood of emails saying that the link didn't work. I've added a new 301 now, so the old link should redirect to the new...

How about more then 2?
You'd probably need an extremely powerful computer and an external clock source to try this.

Re: Update rate not showing

Focusing on getting the sample rate to show something first... Are you suggesting that not having the IP/network stuff fixed is actually causing the update rate issue? I just checked, having an incorrect IP address and getting the OSError 99 doesn't result in the update rate not showing. Any more i...
