Re: Feature requests / development ideas

More ideas... yes, sorry. After using for a while... so. 1. A way to listen to audio from one of the RTLs (select one or just #1 only) by either a jack on the side of the KerberosSDR housing or from the Pi Audio jack or maybe Bluetooth (to an earpiece or car). 2. A add a squelch control in software...

Re: I cannot enable bias tee

Can you run rtl_test?

I'm not sure if Keenerds driver properly detaches the kernel driver.

Go here, https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/, scroll to the bottom and try using the line to blacklist the kernel driver manually.

Re: Direction finding for intermittent signal

Not tested, but in the Android app turn off averaging, and put up the power threshold. If the signals are caught during the sampling time window they should work for localizing in the app. But with intermittent signals there is obviously a lot less data, so it may take longer to get a good location ...

Re: Upcoming patch l-band antenna

It should still be able to cover those frequencies with a bit of attenuation. No guarantees, but if you're in a spot beam it could work. It's difficult to make it even wider band, but we'll see for future iterations.

Re: Feature requests / development ideas

I have another idea. Could the antenna array be used as a virtual single directive antenna, with no rotator? If possible, would it neccesarily be vertically polarised, or could be horizontally as well? Thank you. Do you mean for beam forming? It's possible but at the moment the code doesn't allow f...

Re: Feature requests / development ideas

1. The radius of 4 antennas on the roof in the North/East/West/South arrangement of my car barely fits across the roof (specifically the East to West dimension). Would it be possible to have an option that would allow the array to be rotated 45 degrees so the antennas can be placed in a NW, NE SE, ...

I did run the install-rtlsdr.bat since the ignore the proxy and dont show any error it will not work. Download the File Manually and Put it into the Folder. Ok I got it running I deleted everything and started from scratch. I was able to get AM/FM broadcast. However, if I stop it or try to exit the...

Re: Help ID'ing Items Part Two

If you're only listening to HF, chaining the two together is fine.

A 9:1 balun could help with matching the random wire antennas impedance resulting in better reception.

Re: Bluetooth Classic / LE Sniffing

If you're processing 160 MHz of bandwidth you'll need some serious processing hardware, most likely a custom FPGA solution. An SDR gives you the raw radio data. You still need to demodulate, and then decode those bluetooth signals. I'm not sure if there's any software for that already created, but t...

Re: RTL.SDR Chinese USB Device

Well I finally got it to recognise the RTL and that was done by changing the USB cable obviously the one that came with the kit was faulty. Anyway I started to play with it and I am actually listening to Radio 2 but I have lost the screen as per the attachment. Can any help me please????? You've pr...
