Re: Frequency recorder

Are all the ground comms on the same frequency and analog? If so you could just use rtl_fm and record to a mp3 with sox or similar. Have a look at the answers in this post https://www.reddit.com/r/RTLSDR/comments/4jt4uk/transfer_sdrsettings_to_rtl_fm_sox/ for an example. You'd probably still need to...

Re: question

An upconverter won't be required to receive HF since direct sampling mode allows it, but you can still get a bit better performance with an upconverter.

Re: Share your results

Not sure what you mean by the peak or shape of the spectrum required?

Almost any type of signal should work, but continuous digital signals will probably work best.

Re: Update rate not showing

The second issue is the error below and is probably the reason the update rate is not showing. Can you try increasing the BUFF_SIZE at the top of run.sh? The error seems to suggest it's set too low which is surprising to me since it seems like the same buffer size is used everywhere, but I'm not to...

Re: Install drivers RTL-SDR on MAC HIg Sierra

Is there any way to contact the dev of Touchstone after you purchased it? Would probably be best to ask him directly.

Possibly it connects to the RTL-SDR via an rtl_tcp server?

Re: Enabling noise source stops processing

Yeah I have seen a few "3A" rated supplies which are fake and can only really put out 1A continuously, and some really struggle with changing loads. The Kerberos only really needs a 2A supply to power it, but the tinkerboard definitely needs a 3A supply. The Tinkerboard is known to have design issue...

Re: semi-passive radar

If the TX is within coax distance of the KerberoSDR you can even just connect it directly via a splitter and sufficient attenuation. The better the quality of the reference signal RX the better the results. But as the other poster mentioned, the low TX power might not be helpful unless you're lookin...

Re: Install drivers RTL-SDR on MAC HIg Sierra

Does Touchstone even have a Mac version? I don't use Macs, but usually the driver is included with the program. Try installing GQRX and CubicSDR and see if they work.

Re: Do I have latest linux driver?

Yes the Osmocom drivers are still the best ones to use in most cases, and now have most of the improvements from other branches.

If you installed from source it'll be the newest version. If from repos (apt-get etc), it may be older.
