Mfj sell something called a active antenna model number 1020c . It is a Amplified preselector , the range of the gain is -10db to +10db . it works very well with the V3 dongle . Frequency on it is from 300khz to 40khz . The price is just under $100.00 . You can find them used on Ebay for less .

Hi Tim-rtd . I was wrong when ti stated that my computer was dual core processor , it's a AMD quad core processor running at 2.90 Ghz . Ram is 8 GB . It is a 64 Bit system with 64 bit software . Help with getting SDRAngel to run .
The problem that I am having with SDRAngel is that when I transfer it from the unzip file to the desk top file SDRAngel exe becomes

I found a active loop antenna for receivers on ebay and the loop has a 950 ohm resister in the wire run that makes up the loop . I emailed the seller and asked what the 950 ohm resister was for , he didn't know , he was just selling them . Does anybody in this forum know why the 950 ohm is the loop ...

I don't know if anyone knows that a lot of disk cone antenna don't have the right connector on them and your problem could be that you have a antenna with the wrong connector on it . A disk cone antenna that is rated at 25 mhz to 1300 mhz should have a female N connector on it . Here is what Ampheno...
