Re: rtl-sdr error in linux on Orange Pi: Detected Kernel usbfs mmap() bug, falling back to buffers in userspace

A question.... how did you install rtl-sdr...compile yourself or package software management?
You mention rtl_433 as part of a package. Please elaborate a little on this...

Hi , I don't have Ryzens, but check out /github.com/rtlsdrblog/rtl-sdr-blog/releases
It has something to do with the libusb libusb 1.022
V1.01 for windows.

The person who created it moderates this site. He may chime in...

Scott, are you using a Ryzen based processor? may need a different libusb-1.0 file SDR console , I believe is fully self contained. I don't think you need any extra files or drivers... I have concerns about your 64 bit driver statement. ....just because you have a 64 bit machine, doesn't mean everyt...

Re: RTL-SDR v3 adapter does not show in 'lsusb' after running "rtl_test -t"

You said your using the V3 dongle. Don't use the -t switch..just rtl_test. Won't solve reg problem.
lsusb stuff....... I suspect you haven't done the blacklisting part of the easy setup guide.
Powered usb3 hub is your best shot. I have a pi4 and running 3 V3's on the usb3 hub.

Sorry to say , but that's a very poor antenna for those bands.....Even a 1960's transistor radio had a better antenna.

Re: "RTL SDR dongle not working as expected" - SDR noob questions.

Just FYI, Linux has a very good TV app called kaffeine. It has a built in channel scanner and I have used it, but not on a rtl2832 unit.

Re: Installing RTL-SDR: Cmake error - LibUSB 1.0 required to compile rtl-sdr

I have and use vmware. Did you download the vmware version of Kali2020, or plain iso?
I'll try it by tomorrow night. It's slow downloading.

I would have bet the farm that libusb wasn't there :>} ..... I am curious about libusb1-0 vs -dev .. thing happening...

Re: Installing RTL-SDR: Cmake error - LibUSB 1.0 required to compile rtl-sdr

try this cmd
# whereis libusb-1

should come back with a path....... something like...
libusb-1: /usr/include/libusb-1.0
