Qi wireless charging

I read that Qi wireless chargers operate between 100-205 kHz and emit at 5-10 Watts. Putting up several of those around your SDR... could they be the possible cause of USB connection issues? I have 3 running, and I assume they broadcast continuously (Since they begin charging a device as soon as it ...

Re: Remote VLF receiver with soundcard and pc

I don't know if this fits the bill, but perhaps (It's a long thread, with various updates as you read down through the posts, so do read through it all to see if it can be of any use to you)

Re: Sources of broad-band noise-bursts?

Well, the one I got in the image stretches across aviation, maritime and enterprise bands... all at once :) We do have a national list of assigned frequencies (Owners, wattage, transmitter-locations, etc), but no single user is listed as having access to a 100 MHz wide band. Not even 10 MHz wide ban...

Re: Sources of broad-band noise-bursts?

Light switches sometimes give of wideband noise bursts, but this looks to be in a defined area, so more likely to be something else. That's what puzzles me too. I get a lot of them. Most seem to be about 10 MHz wide, but occasionally these huge ones show up. They're never on the same frequency (At ...

Sources of broad-band noise-bursts?

What might be sources of broad-band noise-bursts, like the one seen in this screen-grab? (It's the horizontal line from 120 to 210 MHz) The antenna is sitting in a corner in a living-room, and isn't near any obvious electrical installations (Nor is the antenna-cable) It is in an apartment-building t...

Re: Decoding Issues

I have never tried VB-audio, so can't help with that. I use "Stereo Mix" instead, since that just uses the audio that you hear, which works fine as long as you don't need to decode speech from it. In the 'File', 'Mixer Control' (In WXtoIMG) you should be able to set up the audio input to something l...

Re: JTempestSDR

Thank you. The thing is I already had got it working (Using your fork) It ran in march 2018, when I set it up and tested it, on a Windows10-x64 machine. I managed to get it running with 2 different SDR's (One being an AirspyR2) Then I didn't use it again, until I wanted to try it a few days ago... b...

JTempestSDR

Does "JTempestSDR" still run on Windows10 for people here? On my system it seems it doesn't work anymore. When I try to run the .jar file nothing happens. No error-messages or anything. Just nothing. So I'm wondering if it's some windows update that broke things on my end, or if it's broken for all.

Re: Any antenna suggestions?

The stations also tend to be on other and multiple frequencies. The strong stations are now on most frequencies and overlap all the time. I search an antenna that: - can receive between 80 - 130 MHz So the BCFM (Commercial FM-radio) stations overlap and repeat on various frequencies? Wouldn't that ...

Re: SDR# scanner plugin

I see this thread dates back to last year, with new comments added recently, so I guess it's in place to post the following here: This scanner is superb in SDR# : http://rtl-sdr.ru/page/obnovlen-timeshift-i-scanner Very fast and very flexible. The wider your SDR-spectrum is, the faster it can scan. ...
