Re: SDR# stops playing when using Airspy HF+

This is just a guess on my part (Somebody with more knowledge hopefully comes along) I guess there is a broader data-range sent via the USB connection when using the HF+ (Since it has a wider bit-depth) So perhaps your USB is just 'quiet' enough to handle the 8-bit stream without issues from the 'ch...

Also check you don't live in a country that has switched OFF the FM-band, just in case :) (I believe Norway has actually cut off that band?)

Re: sdr# problem

I tried yesterday SDR# on windows 10, everything seems much more fluent, for example the middle mouse wheel will immediately react when the cursor is on the left panel or right panel, this doesn't work on my windows 7 (here, the middle mouse doesn't really know on which part of the interface the cu...

Re: Self-built aluminum-tube-dipole (With pictures)

The 'tray-tenna' is tuned to the frequency's half-wave (The brown wire sticking straight up) The tray is just left as it is. I haven't tried different sizes. I'm guessing the tray works like the roof of a car. I don't know if the vertical length (The 4 sides of the tray) has much effect, if any. The...

Re: sdr# problem

With both of us having the same problem, I'd say it's a good bet the problem is with SDR# and not with something in our setups that we can easily correct.

Re: Self-built aluminum-tube-dipole (With pictures)

"Generally when you increase the element diameter the range of resonant frequencies increases" I'm thinking Two large aluminium turkey fryers make better antenna :P :o  sorry...just kidding  Haha, funny you should mention it, I actually bought a pack of cheap barbecue grease trays...

Re: sdr# problem

SDR#, on both the win7 and win10 machines I use, crash almost constantly when hitting the stop-button after prolonged use. It seems to happen more often when it has been running for a longer while (After several hours of play, a crash on stop is almost guaranteed) I can't find the root-cause of it (...

Re: Airspy HF+

Hi Jel . If I were you as a starter way to get into this hobby is to buy a MFJ 1020C and the RTL V3 . That would save you eighty dollars as apposed to buying the airspy HF+ . Thank you for the suggestion :) I am currently using a 'normal' 'cheap' dongle with zadiq-drivers, and then an AirspyR2 with...

Re: Self-built aluminum-tube-dipole (With pictures)

:D SDR# Pictures? Where are you from? SDR# Pictures ? Current QTH is cold and rainy Denmark. Nice idea. Generally when you increase the element diameter the range of resonant frequencies increases. So now you can receive more frequencies on the same antenna. It's tuned for the air-band, but picks u...

Re: Airspy HF+

I don't have the HF+, but could it be firmware incompatibility with the extio file version? I know the HF+ makers updates the HF+ firmware very often, so perhaps the extio matches an older firmware and this causes some trouble? I have been on the fence about getting the HF+ myself, so I don't talk f...
