Drawing images

Hey, This has been on my mind for a little while now. I think it would be cool if you could use a TX-capable SDR to draw images in a waterfall display. You could scan the image bottom-to-top and modulate the frequency based on how dark/light the pixels are. Just an interesting thought I had. I barel...

Re: Ground Plane Monopole Help.

Thanks, I ended up doing the four radials. I spotted some small copper tubing at ACE and thought, “hey, this is perfect!” So I bought some. Worked out very well. I welded the four radials to a copper washer, I still have to figure out how to attach the center pole. Thanks again for your response.

Ground Plane Monopole Help.

Hey,
I’m building a quarter wave ground-plane monopole and I was wondering if a solid aluminum disc could be used for the ground plane (With the radius = quarter wavelength) instead of the usual 4 poles space 90 deg apart. I think that it would be easier to assemble for me.

Re: Decoding FSK

Good thing is, i know exactly what its used for :D . Its weather data being sent between the AWOS (Automated Weather Observation System) tower and the terminal building at my airport. The first pulse in the recording is data being sent by the observation tower to the terminal for processing, the sec...

Re: SDR# tuning step size

Have you tried using the numbers at the top to tune?

In settings, make sure the gain is up (or turn on tuner AGC) and the sampling is set to “quadrate”

Re: Help listening to Shortwave

You should probably supply it 9v then. But do you know what the freq range of the amplifier is?
