Re: KerberosSDR Developments in 2020

Would it be possible to replace the built in USB 2.0 hub with a USB 3.0 or better hub? And preferably with a full size USB connector, not one of those micro thingies.

Re: Airspy HF+ Discovery

As per support, they were apparently out of stock, but I just got an email with a tracking number a short time ago.
So it's probably 10 - 20 days until I receive it.

I will order one.
I ordered one Thursday night from itead.cc, but no order confirmation or any kind of feedback until I sent them an email a few minutes ago, asking about my order. Hopefully this gets my order moving.

Re: time stamp signal appearing possible?

Thank you so much aurgathor for replying! I guess I can program enough when I find a hello world example. Because in this case we don;t have any demodulation (only power in a channel) it must be feasible. I looked around a lot to see if there are any any up-to-date examples for Win10 and RTL but I ...

Re: Airspy HF+ Discovery

I may have been wrong in the above post -- I'm currently reading the Discovery's specs, and under both HF tuner and VHF tuner they prominently mention "high linearity LNA" -- however, without looking at the PCB or schematics (and the latter is most certainly not public) it's hard to tell what those ...

Re: Airspy HF+ Discovery

I guessed that. Does the Airspy HF+ Discovery have an internal Amp? The RF chip should have an RF amplifier portion inside, (an equivalent of a dual-gate MOSFET commonly found in some analog tuners) but if you are thinking of a separate LNA on the input -- I do not know. My guess is no -- the RF fr...

Re: FM antenna

In the past such Yagi Antenna was used in Europe: Most Yagis (retail) are highly directional and I specifically want an omnidirectional antenna since there are FM towers in all 4 quadrants. An antenna for (US) Ch6 should work fine on FM, but TV antennas in general are directional or highly directio...

Re: time stamp signal appearing possible?

Can you program well enough to write your own SW, possibly using GNU Radio?
If so, it should most likely to be possible, but sorry, I can't tell you how since I haven't used it for quite a while.

Re: FM antenna

What do you mean about "TDL"? The link I provided?

If so, use these search terms: "Winegard HD-6010" and "Stellar Labs Outdoor FM Antenna"

FM antenna

I want to get an omnidirectional, outdoor FM antenna (88..108MHz) and wonder if people have any experience with some of the antennas showed here: https://antennaguide.top/ooudoor-fm-am-antenna/ or anything comparable. Looking at some of the reviews, some people claim the "Stellar Labs Outdoor FM Ant...
