Are you saying that you have other RTL dongles that do work?

Re: Performance expectations for RTL-SDR dongle
Yes, if necessary.
If there are very strong local signals the RTL can be overloaded.

Re: Performance expectations for RTL-SDR dongle
Kevin, You do not say where you are but in the UK I think polarisation is mixed in order to make vehicle reception on vertical rods more successful. A vertical dipole needs to be mounted away from any conducting mast. Here I use a discone but am line of sight with 200KW about 8Km away.. The RTL does...

No, only the RTL chip is able to be "hacked" for SDR. Someone found it was a hidden, unused feature.

Re: RTL-SDR Device Not Found by SDR# or HDSDR (Intermittent)
Reading your first post again I think your dongle is not compatible.
It has to have the particular RTL chip to work as a SDR.

Re: Multiple sdr’s on Window PC
Mainly HDSDR. Suits me although it does not have some features newer software has. Also SDR-Console, occasionally SDR#. Multiple RTLs can be used with HDSDR by using RTL_Eeprom, renaming the dongles. Not sure how this works with other software. The two newer programs can utilise a single wideband SD...

Re: Multiple sdr’s on Window PC
I run 3 continuously.
And maybe 2 more from time to time.
Running two of the same type might not be immediately straightforward but if the computer copes there is no limit.

Re: Retreiving the Raw data - Gain, Input Power, other settings...
Perhaps you are an advanced user and I do not understand.
But it seems to me the gain (and approximate frequency) is set by the DLL, the other things can only be measured using calibration tools.
"Output Power after gain setting" what do you mean, what output?

It seems that Zadig is not working.
Have you antivirus or other security features stopping the driver install?

You could try v1784
If you watch the Airspy group you may have seen an answer, I made no notes but there have been a few updates recently, not every one immediately successful.
I usually wait a few weeks until things have been proven.
