Re: Just boring stuff above 868?
Hi Username, A Downconverter is not needed. Dongle+Bias Tee +LNB 12V for Vertical Transponder. Make sure Bias Tee is correctly orientated, the Voltage goes to LNB not to Dongle!! Connect powered Bias Tee to LNB without Dongle and check the Dongle connector does not have Voltage on it!! PSU can be 12...

Re: weak reception in ADS-B using upconverter
Hi, You are getting breakthrough/bleed-over of VHF/UHF signals with the Upconverter inline. The Upconverter is not receiving these signals in it's own right it is passing these at a lower strength level. Hence the weaker/less signals. Most have an upper limit 30 MHz or 60 MHz. Evap1

Hi,
Look in the RTL-Store for the AM broadcast High-Pass Filter.
Read the details of the Spec first to see if it meets your requirements.

Re: I cannot understand this....
Hi Jim,
Have you run the rtl-sdr bat file in the SDR # folder to upack the rtl files needed?
You should do this as soon as you install SDR # to your computer.
Are you selecting the correct RTL radio in the radio list?
Have you run Zadig?
Hope this Helps.

Re: weak reception in ADS-B using upconverter
Hi,
Top limit for an upconverter is around 30 MHz.
It shifts 0 to 30MHz to around 120 MHz using the RTL & other dongles.
ADS-B is 1090 MHz so the dongle is always going to be better
at this frequency.

Re: UHF Military Wide-Band Signal Identification
Hi Zenno, Try looking for the Dab Decoders on Google, there are various ones that will utilise the RTL Dongle & other SDRs. They will give Info on the Channels available & Block Number etc. The one shown in your image is Block 12C. Have Fun, Evap1

Hi,
Depends on where in the world you are located.
This looks like a Dab Block.
