Sure go ahead and ask it in this thread, or a new one, doesn't matter.

Re: Can't continue

Are you actually using the remote feature, or are you just trying to use a dongle locally? If locally, you should switch to the USB option, not the TCP option. If you don't have that option, you've downloaded the wrong SDR#. Read the quickstart guide linked on the top of the blog to see how to downl...

Re: Android sdr touch non recommended tuners???

I believe you can test out the dongles on the free sdrtouch trial. But if the rtl2832 dongle works as an SDR on a PC, it should most likely work on sdrtouch.

I don't think that tuner is supported. On the patch it says in the comments "The TUA9001 tuner it uses is unsupported at the moment, though.", so I think they just added it into the device list with the hope that in the future smoeone would get that tuner working.

Re: R820T on Ubuntu

If you're having trouble i'd suggest you start of with one of the precompiled images that include RTL-SDR support. Look into Kali Linux, or one of the LiveDVD images, like the one that was posted on the blog a few days ago.

Re: Monitoring ch37a marine

Hmmm, are you sure you have the automated installer version of SDR#? It's important you use that one, cos the others won't have RTL-SDR/USB.

I also have a guide here: http://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/, pay attention especially to step 3.

Re: Monitoring ch37a marine

I can see from the screenshot that you've accidentally set the input device to Other (Sound Card).

Change the drop down menu next to the play button back to RTL-SDR/USB and it should be fine again.

Re: HF+VHF+UHF

The HackRF + hamitup upconverter is probably the best choice if you want all of HF+VHF+UHF for a decent price, though it's only half-duplex. I too wonder what the technical reasons are that make it hard to do HF and VHF+.

Re: What RTL-SDR tuner are you using?

Good choice. I prefer the R820T over the E4000 myself.

Re: [LINUX] Decode RDS-Data on linux commandline?

I don't know of any ready made command line tool, but this GNU Radio program and C# code might get you started http://www.anotherurl.com/library/sdr/sdrrds.htm

Also, this may help https://cgran.org/wiki/RDS
