Taking down drones
When Gatwick Airport shuts down due to drone nuisance it's time for radio enthusiasts to step forward with expertise to combat this menace.

Re: Taking down drones
Hello Greg:
I don't think as citizens we can legally transmit jamming signals. Could get us in big trouble even for the right reasons.
One thing that I read today that is really scary, is that groups like ISIS are using cell phones as the control receivers.
This means digital encoding, frequency shifting, and GPS capability.
Many of these people have graduated from our best Universities. That makes them clever and a real threat.
Take care all.
Robert

Re: Taking down drones
I think I read that it is illegal for any citizen to "take down" a drone.
Its a real shame that a few jerks can make it bad for the 99% of safe legal drone users.
It would be far better to find and "take down" (non violently of course) the operators.
