Using RTL-SDR with Bluetooth wireless earbuds

Post by bbolin » Sat Aug 17, 2019 5:30 pm

Hello all,

Have an RTL-SDR dongle installed on an ARM device (Odroid-HC2 Ubuntu 16.04)) and works fine when streaming using Sdrtouch while using wired earbuds/headphones.

When using Bluetooth earbuds the signal is very choppy. Not sure if the default sample rate (2048000) has anything to do with this I've increased to 3200000 without any better success.

Maybe the combined bandwidth(wifi + bluetooth) used by my Samsung Tab S 10.5 is to much

I have not tried to contact the developer of Sdrtouch to see if this is a known issue

Any input would be appreciated

I guess the Signal is way to weak.

Probably an issue with USB bandwidth or processing power.

Keep the sample rate at 2048000 when troubleshooting. 3200000 is going to cause more issues with drops that are unrelated to your current issue.
