DAB over IP via VLC

Post by numbed » Wed Feb 12, 2014 5:45 pm

Hello all,

New here and new to SDR in general, so I hope this is not a silly question.

I'm interested in playing back multiple dab radio instances over ip ideally played on VLC (A software I use for audio analysis is being fed by VLC).

It looks like SDR-J DAB is the closest thing there is.. Can I lock it to a specific DAB ensemble/transponder and than extract all its channels? Possible?

Please help.

Many thanks

Just following up this post.

I would ideally like to use a USB dvbstick to receive DAB radio, but do not need a GUI. Is there a relatively easy way to modify SDR-J so that I can have simple command line utilities to scan and tune DAB stations?

Or are there other utilities available for this?

There's also this DAB player which for me at least works better than SDR-J: http://www.rtl-sdr.com/new-dab-player-rtl2832u/.

Not sure if there are any command line DAB decoders, haven't seen any yet.
