rtl_adsb vs dump1090

Post by bclay » Sat Aug 29, 2020 12:52 pm

rtl_adsb does not give the same results as dump1090. I am working on a c++ adaptation of the librtlsdr and have working code for audio based reception. When I started working with rtl_adsb I could get my software to give the same results as rtl_adsb but then I could not find valid data torun through a ADSB message decoder. When I compared rtl_adsb output to dump1090 output I see a big difference in the output. It looks like the message framing if off so there is not separation of messages.

Has anyone been able to get valid results fro the rtl_adsb software?

side not the dump1090 program is also rtlsdr based
