RTLSDR and USB Full Speed

Post by Abo1 » Tue May 04, 2021 10:45 am

Good morning everybody,
I have been looking a while for a driver for rtlsdr in USB full speed but couldn't find one so I reused some code for an application that contains stm32l .
I can configure the R820T and demodulator's registers but once I try a bulk transfer in Full Speed mode, i cannot receive anything and the returned URB status is either ERROR or IDLE.
I want to specify that the sampling rate I used is 240 kSample/S so It should work with USB FS ( 12 mbit/s ).
Thanks in advance !

The RTL2832U requires 2.0 high speed, it won't work in FS mode regardless of what sample rate you use.

According to the RTL2832U datasheet "Supports USB Full/High speed"

I didn't tried it, but it will be interesting if it supports Full Speed mode.

I think that's only if used as a DVB-T demodulator. Not sure about the IQ mode.
