Re: TETRA Trunk Tracker for use with SDR# and TETRA Demodulator plug-in
There is a bug in the latest version (1.0.15.8) that effects some users.
To Recap:
They ran SDR#+plug-in and TTT then clicked 'Start' in TTT, it set-up SDR# and then TTT retrieved the MCC/MNC/LA then did not continue processing any calls.
You can see more about and a workaround here:

NOTE: This has been fixed for next release.

15th Public Release - TETRA Trunk Tracker and TETRA Demodulator plug-in - v1.0.15.9
This package (version) of TETRA Trunk Tracker and TETRA Demodulator plug-in (with codec libtetradec.dll) are only meant to be used
with each other and with no other previous versions. To do so will most likely cause issues.
No changes to TETRA Demodulator plug-in in this release.
If SDR# is crashing when 'Demodulator' is enabled, it's because you have not set-up the plug-in correctly.
You MUST do this 1st. This is NOT TETRA Trunk Trackers fault.
You generally need to get these installed:
"Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 (Offline Installer)"
"Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 (Offline Installer)"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable" and install both 32/64 bit versions (if you use 64 bit OS)
This should fix the issue as reported here
This TETRA Trunk Tracker version changes/adds and fixes some items:
Has been tested on Windows 7 - Basic (64 bit)
Has been tested on Windows 7 - Professional SP1 (32 bit), English
Has been tested on Windows 10 - Professional (64 bit)
I have created it to suit my needs. And it currently works for me with the TETRA network I monitor.
I make no claim that it will work for other networks.
Please read the provided files for set-up and usage:
I have tried to be as thorough as possible with the documentation to explain usage and features.
I believe any questions can be answered by reading these files.
These files most likely are not complete and contain errors and are not laid out as good as they could be.
The TETRA plug-in is now been mainly tested with SDR# 1700 on Windows 7 Professional 32 bit with no issues seen.
The TETRA plug-in with SDR# 1700 on Windows 7-10 64 bit PCs is untested by me and is known.
It only works with the provided TETRA plug-in supplied in zip. (2019-May-10).
This version uses a custom compiled version of 'Net Remote' supplied in zip
It is only meant to be a temporary solution until something better comes along.
Note: This link now is to a folder that stores the download, which means the link to the location of the files will stay the same but the files in it can vary.

This TETRA Trunk Tracker version changes/adds and fixes some items:
Code: Select all
v1.0.15.9 - Minor update
FIXED: String handling issue that affected some causing TTT not to start in non-English locales
FIXED: On 2nd start (after initial set-up) a pop-up error "LRRP path is not valid" would show when path
field was left blank. Blank is valid (saves LRRP to TTT folder). The error should only show if set
path no longer exists.

I am sorry to disturb you but I would like to ask you a question. My name is Benoît, i'm French and I am passionate about radio waves .... which is a shame is that there is less and less to listen in France and my dream is to listen to firefighters or Samu via Tetrapol. I found full in the 390MHZ there is that that .... well on the Tetra decoder via the plugin Sharp is very simple but does not work. Do you think that one day you can release an audio decoder for Windows regardless of the SDR software or Tetrapol--Kit or other with only audio for me. Or else I installed Ubuntu via Virtual Machine on my Windows but it's too complicated to install the tetrapol-kit via Linux, I can not do it and besides I have my HackRF which is not detected on Linux . Can you help me for Windows if you have a miracle or hidden tool because I would like to listen so much to the firefighters to see what is happening to me. And listening only. A big thank you in advance for your professional help
Your tool for Tetra for Windows and the Sharp tool is so great and updated often.
Is there any possibility of trying to integrate a Tetrapol module? It is used by France and is so close to Tetra in algoritme. I think you are so great that you have the basics to do it. Hold the features are available for public download via the Tetrapol website for help. It would be great and French enthusiasts would say a big thank you.

PS: I am at your disposal if you have questions.

Re: TETRA Trunk Tracker for use with SDR# and TETRA Demodulator plug-in
The plug-in will not decode TETRAPOL.
TETRA and TETRAPOL are not similar in any way.
From what I read, TETRAPOL is encrypted and so would not be worth the effort.
I don't receive TETRAPOL where I am and would not be motivated to invest time and effort into it.

Re: TETRA Trunk Tracker for use with SDR# and TETRA Demodulator plug-in
Ah ok thank you for your answer anyway. It's so bad because 90% of rescue and law enforcement do not use the encryption mode which is only an option. Too bad because Tetra and Tetrapol are 2 direct competitors, it would have been a very good challenge: '(thewraith2008 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 9:54 amThe plug-in will not decode TETRAPOL.

Hi.
I found this plugin today and replaced Vasilis version with the latest version from this thread. Fantastic work.
There is one thing that might be a bug:
When changing the frequency in SDR# to a frequency without a carrier the CurrentCell tab in the NetzworkInfo window shows data although there is no reception. It keeps data from the cell formerly recieved.
Is it possible to clear this data (and neighbour cell information as well, same issue here) when changing the frequency?
Kind regards, Joerg.

Hello. I'm from Poland. Thanks a lot for Tetra decoder - it's a really good job!thewraith2008 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 9:54 amThe plug-in will not decode TETRAPOL.

I am able to receive the transmission from the attachement sometimes (propably from abroad). It might be Tetrapol.
Could you maybe work on the plug so it would be possible to decode it?
Best regards.

@thewraith2008: Hello!
I have a complete MNC-List from Germany MCC 262. Can you insert this, like the MCC list into the tracker? If you want, i can send you this one as pdf file.
