20 Meter WSPR (weak signal propagation reporter)
Great results with just the RTL-SDR and Upconverter (125 mhz), no preamp or extra filtering.
Using SDR Sharp with output > VAC > WSPR (K1JT software).

Re: Amateur Radio WSPR project
I probably should mention, for those who are not amateur's or SWL's, you do not have to have a amateur radio license to participate in WSPR. Check in to WSPR Net and you can get a feel for what is going on with weak signal propagation reporting.Should you decide to download the WSPR software and begin monitoring, please consider using a SWL call, which should include your grid square locator, and maybe your state acronym( Ak, Ms, Ca. etc.) and upload your decodes.

Re: Amateur Radio WSPR project
Very nice, what type of antenna were you using to receive WSPR?
Re: Amateur Radio WSPR project
I use an Inverted L ( base tuned vertical with a wire added off the top), I was using the inverted L for the WSPR activity that I posted. Also have a Magnetic Loop, great little receive antenna.

Re: Amateur Radio WSPR project
Here is an updated screenshot using a Nooelec Mini+0.5PPM TCXO and HDSDR with VAC to WSPRX (K1JT weak signal program). Notice the "0's" in the DF (diff. freq/drift) column, very little drift thanks to the TCXO.
