Newbie question on demodulation

Post by Yileku » Thu Jan 10, 2019 7:11 pm

So given that I understand enough to configure a RTL-SDR and I start getting samples over USB, are there a set of libraries to demodulate given types of modulation like BPSK, GSM, etc.?
Thanks,
Y-

Your best bet might be to install GNU Radio and use the various demodulation blocks in there.
Various programs contain demodulation modules but, unless they are open source, will generally only be available in binary form. However, if a program contains the demodulation that you require, you could be up and running in minutes
There is a log of theory and code examples out there but tat approach requires that you know a lot of programming to start with.

Thanks for the reply. I am familiar with GNU radio. I was thinking that there may be open source libraries for demodulating standard BPSK, OQPSK, etc. with the RTL-SDR and librtlsdr.

Thanks,
Y
