Hello all. As the title says I am an absolute beginner when it comes to DSP. I purchased a RTL2832u(?) with the hopes to learning how IQ FFT and how to translate the data to a freq vs amp type view in a Python program.

All the documentation I find is so headsy that I can't quite figure out what I actually need to make my own display. The I/Q data, sample rate, sample bins, resolution, I'm having a hard time connecting the dots on how they relate. Does anything have any good practical material I can read to understand how this giant puzzle goes together?
