I have a Nooelec SMArt NESDR dongle, it works in Linux but it doesn't work in WIndows. I followed the installation instructions Nooelec has given on their website, I downloaded the latest version of zadiga, installed the drivers mentioned in it, downloaded CubicSDR, it was able to detect the SDR dongle, it was only showing waterfall and static noise, I tried tuning to an FM station, it was just producing static noise, no music or songs.
So I closed it and installed SDR#, I followed the instructions mentioned there, ran the rtlsdr.bat first, and opened SDRSharp.exe, it was able to detect the SDR dongle but when I pressed play, it showed me an error which was something like can't access rtl.
I have no problem using this SDR on Linux but most of the spectrum analyzing software seemed to be only available on Windows. My main reason for this device is finding any hidden bugs.
Talk about other SDR products like the FunCube, HackRF, BladeRF etc.
