Hello All.

I have just bought a well-known brand, LNA. It says that it is to be strapped to the pole, just under the aerial. and to be water-proofed as the main components are inside an aluminium casing.

I was wondering what you do to keep something like this water-proofed?

Regards and thanks for any answers

Jim.

Depending on the size, i'd look for a junction box with waterproof cable clamps e.g. a small one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2018-Ne ... 130299d02f.

Maybe even spray a bit of conformal coating on the PCB.

I remember that on one of my first installations, I did the waterproofing in the good ol' gipsy custom way, with a plastic bag held by electrical tape  of course, you shouldn't do that, it's better to do it professionally with appropriate kit as described by rtlsdrblog.
