Just getting started. I bought the RTL-SDR on Amazon and loaded SDR#. Receiving local FM broadcast stations with a piece of wire.
My long term interest is doing H line detection at 1.42 gig.
Could you start a forum for people doing that?
Thanks
Dennis

Astronomy has long used telescopes to look at the sky in visible light.
Radio Astronomy looks at the sky using a range of other frequencies "from DC to Daylight". For example, you can listen to Jupiter from 4MHz on upwards. Also you can look at the sky in Microwave frequencies.
The Square Kilometre Array will be looking at the sky from 50MHz to over 30GHz (eventually).
Check out http://www.astrosurf.com/luxorion/radio ... eslist.htm as just one place for lists of frequencies
