I installed the wrong driver

Post by Rmf56 » Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:53 pm

Driver not found when I try to go to zadig and go to bulk-in interface 0 or 1 I get the wrong driver poping up. It comes up on both driver boxes as "WinUSB (V6.1.7600.16385)". Anyone know how I can fix this?

You can replace the wrong driver in Windows device manager by right clicking -> update driver -> browse local computer -> Let me pick -> then choose the previous driver.

I have read much talk bout 'bulk interfaces and yet NEVER USED IT ONCE
me havin the v3 of the dongle I always pick RTL2838 pick and I thought I had read
to not use the bulk interface 1 *sometimes 0 was OK but You should find RTL2838
so You mentioned using 1 if this is the case Ya may wanna try a 0 next time around
or look for RTL INSTEAD ...

I believe Zadig makes a folder with the inf files that
windows needs to use to run the dongle on Your hard drive

go to windows explorer and search for : usb_driver

C:\Users\MY PC'S NAME WAS HERE\usb_driver

You can right click .inf file n pick install n it brings up device
manager I believe (or same diff as being in device manager
and adding a new driver to install something) so in my case
it told me 'that it was already had the best driver for my dongle
so I didnt do any more.. but You can also go to device manager
n pick update driver for the win usb one if think need replaced
and load the RTL2838UHIDIR.inf (driver info for the dongle)
