About listening to several analog audio stations at once

Post by ayavilevich » Wed Jun 15, 2016 12:33 pm

Hi,

I am trying to tune my rtl-sdr to some Marine VHF channels. Those are supposed to be Narrow FM analog audio.
http://www.csgnetwork.com/marinefreqtable.html
I can tune with Gqrx to one specific channel and sometime there would be a signal rather than noise.

Is there a program that I would be able to configure with a list of frequencies (all in a 2Mhz range) which will then monitor all those frequencies and "un-squelch" any specific one that got a transmission?

Regards,
Arik.

Like a scanner program? On Windows you can use SDR# and the Frequency Scanner or Fast Frequency Scanner plugin. On Linux or Mac you could use rtl_fm, and use it in scanner mode with the squelcher.

Have a look at the guide at http://kmkeen.com/rtl-demod-guide/, and look for the Airband Scanner example.
