I have version 1294 of SDR Sharp installed with version 1.6.1 of the Frequency Manager - Scanner Plugin on my Windows 7 Pro computer. What I find is that when scanning a range of frequencies, the FM-Sp doesn't seem to want to stop on any active frequency. For example, I scan a range of 162 Mhz to 163 Mhz to get the FM-SP to stop on the Environment Canada weather channel located on 162.475 Mhz which in my area is a very strong signal and the FM-SP goes right by it. I have spent a lot of time with the adjustments but the result is the same. SDR Sharp works just fine on it's own, it seems to be the plugin that is giving me the problem.
I am trying to figure out if it is my R820T dongle or my computer isn't up to the task, and maybe one or both needs to be replaced. I have read the to get the plugin to work, one must have hyperthreading CPU? So before I go out and price a more expensive computer I thought I would see if anyone has any ideas, thanks in advance.
