PROBLEM WITH RTL

could i please ask for your advice in solving a problem that i have when using my rtl-sdr i keep getting the the warning that " CANNOT GAIN RTL DEVICE" i have only installed the device today , and i am to say the least not too clever where computers are concerned.. many thanks to you all in anticipation ....barry

Havn't heard of that error before...

Did you go through the quickstart guide? http://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/
