mag mount whips are meant to be used on a metal surface which offers a 1/2 lambda path length from the location of the whip. 'ground' is capacitively coupled at the mag mount.

A few points:

1)Your screen shot of the sync screen is only partial, but it doesn't look like the KerberosSDR is in sync at all. When syncing please remember to set the FIR to 0, and decimation to 1. After syncing and calibrating you can narrow them. The graphs should look like what is shown in the guide. While syncing disconnect the antennas, and turn off the signal source. Make sure you turn OFF the noise source after syncing too.

The update rate you're seeing in DoA is very slow which makes me think that you accidentally left the sync and noise source check boxes ON.

2)Under spacing you have used a comma, instead of a point. I'm not sure if this will cause issues, but the correct decimal marker in the software is a point (.), not a comma.

3) If you're running the latest code/image you can increase the DoA speed by using decimation. Use decimation of say 4, and this will negate the slowdown of the FIR filter. If you need faster speeds, you'll need to use a faster machine like a Tinkerboard.

Too add

4) It's best not to use all the DoA algorithms at once. Just try MUSIC at first. The compass will average all the results together, and often the other algorithms aren't as good as MUSIC.
