Another possible use

Post by VK3MM » Tue Apr 30, 2019 4:07 am

Hi I have just found this site and ordered one as it looks like it has lots of potential.
I have lots of other single SDR's at all levels of performance.
I am not a software person but one use someone may be able to write some code to use one input as a noise reference antenna and feed it out of phase to the output of another of the receivers to cancel local noise interference.
Another upgrade would be to incorporate a TCXO in the local oscillator to give it less drift which helps for Digital modes.
Looking forward to playing with it when it arrives.
Cheers Michael,

the most dongle who are sold now have an very stable oscillator.

Yep it could certainly be used for noise cancelling, just need to write the code to do that. At the moment though I believe that the coherent buffering scheme would need to be reworked before any sort of coherent noise cancelling could be done.

The KerberoSDR already uses a TCXO.
