Ham It Up + Cubic SDR problem

Post by jr593 » Fri Apr 12, 2019 3:15 pm

Hi all,
I have Ham It Up, with NooElec SDR and CubicSDR software (also SDRSharp).
When using up-converter mode, I set the offset frequency in the software, and receiving all HF stations where I expect them to be.
However, I also hear VHF stations (mainly Air Radio) shifted down by 125Mhz.
For example, on say 7.1000Mhz I can also hear any air stations on 132.1000Mhz I.E . offset by 125MhZ
Anybody else know of this, or is the Ham It Up faulty ?
thanks in advance

Unless you do some input filtering, you'll get both up and down converted products.

Use a low pass filter (say, 100 Mhz) between the antenna and the ham-it-up.
