SDR# Crash with no crash.txt log <libusb-1.0.dll>

Post by sbryans1 » Sat Jun 08, 2019 2:04 am

Hello,
So, works fine on 2 out of 3 computers tested. The one it doesn't work on happens to be the one I intend to use it on. It runs but crashes 5 min after opening regardless of if I push play or not. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling following all of the steps and troubleshooting in the QSG.

What I get when debugging with Visual studio is attached below.
"Exception thrown at 0x6F3B75AE (libusb-1.0.dll) in SDRSharp.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location
0x00000008."
[Break when this exception type is thrown]

I did find this but I don't understand the solution.

Perhaps my confusion is from the mild use of Italian.

Thanks

So, after applying the 'fix' from the other post it still crashes at the same point with the same error message. I did use the 32bit dll. I will try the other and see.

Also, when it crashes it sits in Task Manager for a few minutes but if I try to end task or debug it comes back with 'access denied'.

Doesn't detect the rtl-sdr when using the 64bit dll.
I also tried uninstalling the driver in Device Manager and running zadig again but it fails.
I guess I am back where I started.

Probably better to try and ask on the Airspy forums at https://airspy.groups.io. The dev is probably the best person to talk to about crashes like this.
